was heading for Maine Road in 89 for the derby with a bad feeling. 3 key players out.
Dibble, McNab and Clive Allen, keeper, Captain and star forward. We'd also just lost to Brentford in the cup. Andy Hichcliffe's 5 fingered salute told you what happens if you battle and have belief. Same with the 3-4 cup game at Spuds. Gillingham,Qpr etc etc. Keep the faith Blues, someone else will step up. ;)

It means exactly what is said.
He knows the side depends on his leadership and doesn't want that to interfere with what could be an injury that is worse than what he might be letting on.
Many players get caught between the devil and the deep blue sea in their day and critical times and crucial games.
Adam Goodes played for 70 minutes with a torn medial ligimant in the 2012 AFL grand final.
He convinced the medico's he was fine although he knew it was torn.
Played a giant of a game despite the injury but stuffed up his pre season as a result but the Swans won the grand final so in his eyes it was well worth it.

Maybe it'll mean our back line plays better, Kompany has been at fault a for a few goals by not stepping up with everyone else to play offside. He has improved at this though.
Just a thought for you all, at the beginning of the season he'd prepared for this situation by rotating central defender/fullbacks and goalkeeper - this wont put us off our stride as it may have done under Mancini.
