Don't think so, at least not for a good while. The Kelpies which are constructed in the same manner have kept their original steel colour.

Great video and love the statues. Got a bit choked myself when Vinny's wife was talking. Video really swept away the nonsense of yesterday and ready for the match today. Come on City!

It's the scale of the kelpies that make them, not sure they'll have the same affect with smaller statues.

It does. I love the way, he is in motion, ball at his feet and yet he is looking up. Searching for that killer ball. It so captures the essence of David as does the one of Vinnie.

I think the statues do two very special players justice and I'm looking forward to seeing them up close. A big thumbs up to the sculptor because he's managed to encapsulate the brilliance of club legends Kompany and Silva with his metalwork that does them proud.

given the pre recorded short interviews with them that might not be the case. :(

I just watched the video, in tears: it is impossible to describe the feeling that these two players have given to me, all tied in with a history of raising my son with blue blood coursing through his veins; what utter magic.
