Saw the latest Inside City. Brief glimpse of him running with a physio.

Original reports when he had the op were that it would be September at least before he's back. When he went on tour I thought maybe he might be back earlier, but it looks like September might be right. He'll have muscle wastage in his right leg, but I think it was encouraging to see him out running on the pitches. That's a step up from gym work. I think he'll be doing strengthening work on his right leg and general fitness work until he's ready to join in full training. Just time now, and hard work which is taken for granted with Kompany.

We'll as I understand it from what was said when he blew up last time, he has been walking and running in a manner that stops his groin and ankle from hurting - injuries he had a long time ago.. This resulted in him overstretching his thigh muscles which has led to most of these recent injuries.
The physios are teaching him to walk and then run in the correct manner again removing the overstretch.
i would imagine that he won't be team training again till he does this automatically without thinking so I'm not expecting him back in proper team training for at least another month.
