I can't think of a player I have admired more in my forty odd years watching City. Long may he stay in sky blue.

100% right. HIs leap in the air when he thumped that header in, running past dismayed rag defenders with a joyful look that said "get out of the way, we're the champions now" said it all. He's in the same class as Mike Doyle when it comes to passion for City and as much an adopted or honorary Manc as Uwe or Bert were in their time.

Fantastic to see Kompany back in training! I really hope is able to overcome his injury problems, as when he's fully fit he walks in to any team in the league. It was frustrating for everyone when he had his more recent injury, however at least he has had the whole close season to work on his recovery rather than rushing back for a specific fixture.

The club and the player need to ensure he is 100% fit when he makes his comeback this time. It's a big season for Kompany, if he can stay fit I'm sure he will be a big part of Pep's plans.

I just hope he's ready to go. I'd have been willing to wait until Christmas to bring him back. Even longer if necessary. There can be no more false starts.
