Kompany & Zabaleta

In late 80s we got one a week at most, but not in first six weeks of the season, and some weeks were missed out after that.

Many countries got more than us.

The best football programme was Granada Soccer Night which showed highlights in the north west on itv.

In the early 80s and before there was next to no live football on telly except for cup finals.

1992 onwards, no top league football on telly in perpetuity.

Agreed. And he said words to effect that he wanted us to piss on/spoil united's party on sunday. I LOVED that.

Can't remember the question, but cook responded by saying how we were looking to build the club gradually, and that it was pointless winning a trophy next season if we can win one the season after, and haveto wait another 20/30 years for a trophy like we are now. To which someone in the crowd shouted, ' we don't care, we just wanna win one '

Another fella plucked up and said how he applied in the uefa cup ballot and was successfull, and after setting him back £200, whether any of the 5 panalists would compensate him with a ticket for sunday. I think Cook felt genuinely sorry and said that he'd speak to him after the event ( which i honestly think he would have ). But then everyone started shouting ' i want one as well ', to which cook responded, 'see, thats what happens'

Wonder if the guy got a ticket, cos cook stayed behind after when hughes and the players went.

they said they wanted the rights to the old badge back, but even if they got it they have made no decision whether or not they would go back to it.

Was it Clarkie who asked for a derby ticket because he purchased 2 Uefa Cup Final tickets?

bizarrely, it was somebody called Clarkie who asked that question, but not the infamous Clarkie_ni
