The old badge is coming back aswell..

i'm sure your words are well meant and most kind but, really, i've never lost it have i?

anyway, i prefer the new badge. keep the old one for retro purposes only.

Haha same here, don't see the point in going back. Dont know if he meant it would come back permanently or maybe use it on a one off but they are trying to get the rights back.

Back to the badge.... Found this so it may clear things up!

Personally, I’m with Sir Ron Manager at Citymancs, who believes we should revert to this design. It’s not clear who currently owns the copyright on the badge, but it might still be Eddie Phillips, who ran the old souvenir shop. According to this interview with Francis Lee, Phillips bought the rights to the badge from Peter Swales in the 1980s and also paid an annual flat fee for control of the souvenir shop, worth just £60,000 a year to the club in 1994.

That deal was terminated in 1995 when City took back control of the Maine Road souvenir shop and Phillips moved out (the redeveloped merchandise operation was making an estimated £2.5 million-a-year by 1998). It appears he took his badge with him, although there are still a few items at the City Store with it on.

Considering how much design consultants charge, you do wonder whether it would be just as cheap for the club to buy back the copyright. PR doesn’t come cheap either, and reverting to the classic badge would certainly be a great publicity coup for our controversial owner.

Another option is a new badge that’s close to the traditional design, such as this one posted by Wheelsy OSC Sydney at Bluemoon.

Re: Garry Cook Mentions Blue Moon !!!

Nice that Vinnie is sticking up for Berti, but I think most people understand it's just one of them things, internet meme I think they're called. Maybe Berti doesn't think it's funny anymore since he's not had the chance to make his debut, who knows.

Re: Garry Cook Mentions Blue Moon !!!

Garry Cooke also mentioned they were looking to move the away fans, not next season due to the logistics of moving season ticket holders when the renewel packs have gone out already, but maybe the season after.

Re: Garry Cook Mentions Blue Moon !!!

Was there any more questions asked about players except Sturridge and Berti?

Maybe Joe Hart's future or anything else?

Not Joe hart but Johnson was asked about and we got the usual spiel about setbacks and injuries and that hopefully he'll be back next season

Re: Garry Cook Mentions Blue Moon !!!

when the new badge was designed, francis lee(dont ever meet your heroes!)said that the old badge would remain the property of manchester city f.c.and that is why a lot of the older blues were happy to change!
