Kris Boyd..

There is a reason very few Scottish players come to England and make it now and in part thats why Scottish football is in the trouble its in. For all the moaning and complaining people do about overseas players in England, it's killed the Scottish game, because one of their main streams of money, players heading south has now dried up. As for Kris Boyd, when was the last time a "big 4 team" signed a Scot?

the reason very few scottish players come to England and make it is because their not very good

well lets face it any league samaras looks good in isnt exactly amazing is it. we have strikers coming through (nimley, ball etc) who are better

I honestly don't think Samaras looks good because he misses alot and the only reason he gets goals is because he is playing for CELTIC. Anyone can look good in a team which with Rangers dominates the league.

Samaras is the same as he was at City, occasional moments of class, vast majority of utter bollocks, Only difference is he get's more chances in the SPL, so occasional moments of class are a bit less occasional.

Agreed. Samaras frustrates me as much as he used to when he was at City.

I have to admit that I rate Kris Boyd as a striker/poacher, but the league here is poor and am not sure if he'd be up to the physical demands of the Premiership. His work is done in the box but to be a regular scoring forward in the Prem he'd have to do so much more work outside the box, closing down defenders, and improve his general game to succeed (i.e no more Monster Munch & lager!). Maybe a move to the likes of Germany, Turkey etc would suit him better?

Twat of a man. But a goalscoring twat. I honestly think he would score goals anywhere. The ball just seems to fall at his feet.

agreed, just a goal machine, put the ball in the box and he will score, not the best of players but knows where that net is

he's a fantastic finisher in the box, without him rangers would be gash

It will be interesting to see if he plays against Celtic.Smith never seems to play him against them or in any European ties.

He'l play now as Millar's suspended

I think Boyd is a fantastic finisher, He's worked on his all-round game and has became a fine player, now the all time top Goalscorer in the SPL

And he is not a twat, you'll have to go a long way to find someone as down to earth and well mannered, lovely guy
