You could hardly call it his scouting system. He's got about 5 players from the Old Firm because of one simple fact - he bought several of his favourites from Celtic immediately after swapping clubs. There was no scouting involved, he just swiped the ones he already had managed.

He never played in big games.Rarely started against Celtic or in any European ties.
