It just seems strange to pick Lineker, of all those he could have picked. To me, anyway. He might have done better reaching out to a high profile current player with an army of followers on social media. Someone that those who are influenced by social media would take more note of. Kane, Salah, Ronaldo, Sterling, Saka, etc etc. Those types of personalities. Whether a current player would be willing to call out another current player is another question, though. In fairness, I suggest Packham is simply reaching out to Lineker in the knowledge that he has a strong following on Twitter and greater influence where animal welfare issues cross over into the world of football. Give the bloke a break. He's done an enormous amount of good in this area in recent years.
He’ll be gone from English football soon. Too toxic now.
Agreed. Not sure what he hopes to gain by laying the issue at Lineker's doorstep.
Is this how the CPS operates now after the Starmer criticism?Have Kurt Zouma prosecuted for animal cruelty.. Do you agree?

Harsh - but I will take my ban with humility, honor and a modicum of decorum !No Your spelling, and grammar actually, are pretty much on point. Just the wrong word, that's all. But hey, a week's ban should sort it out.
Pressure on the club from fans and sponsors will see to that. I'll probably be accused of hyperbole but whenever I've seen documentaries about evil people, they usually have a past of no empathy towards animals. He’ll be gone from English football soon. Too toxic now.
I said much the same about violent criminals.Pressure on the club from fans and sponsors will see to that. I'll probably be accused of hyperbole but whenever I've seen documentaries about evil people, they usually have a past of no empathy towards animals.
I wouldn't necessarily disagree with any of that Jim. I just don't understand the need on the part of some to vilify Packham, someone who's probably done more to raise awareness of animal welfare matters than anyone. It just seems strange to pick Lineker, of all those he could have picked.
