For our older readers, anyone remember that prolific non - league goal scorer we signed from Ashton Utd?
His name was Barney Daniels, and, iirc, he scored twice on his debut. Totally out of his depth is my only recollection.
Not to say non- league players can't make the transition to top flight football, it's just very difficult, although Tony Book didn't do too badly, did he?
