Obviously someone who's never been outside the housing they've been living in cannot comprehend there are countries that have the means to do this without dipping in their own people's wallet. I chuckled a bit at the unhinged, lazy, inaccurate, and uninformed statements in this post.
I checked some of the figures after my post and Saudi Aramco (the Saudi state owned oil Producer) generated $161B of profit in 2022. That is just one single year. They cannot spend money quicker than it comes in. Every year that money gets pumped into developing the country & used to buy up more & more investment through the PIF (Public Investment Fund).
Their strategy is to be less reliant on oil income by 2030. Aptly named “Vision 2030” locally, but you only need to do 5 minutes of reading to realise that these guys have enough money to become a real player in this sport if they so wish. Unfortunately to top it off they are very shrewd at business.

100%, as said earlier loyalty works both ways.
Our owners are the polar opposite, doing all they can for their players and their family's and always totally understanding when a player asks to leave.
The same applies to all our employees , work hard, show loyalty and you will be rewarded handsomely and never forgotten, the polar opposite of PSG.

Heres what I dont understand. Mbappe desperately wanted Madrid and still does psg knew this all along .so Madrid bid 200 mill in 2021. PSG reject it and make him sign a new 3 year deal. What did they think would happen in 3 years time? Kicking the can down the road is what they did. Maybe not be stupid cunts and accept the 200 mill from madrid for a player who desperately wanted to leave. Now look at the situation theyre in theyre loosing probably the most valuable player in the world for nothing.

I don’t get the fascination with this, he’s a twat, PSG are twats and they have both fucked one another over since day one. He clearly wants Real, Real clearly want him. There’s zero chance he joins us and even less of a chance he joins Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal or any Saudi team.
People are also continually confusing £ with €, not just in here but other threads too. There’s only British clubs that do deals in Sterling, if we sell abroad or purchase from abroad it’s in Euros. The media are just as bad with this, we sign X for €65m and it’s referred to as £65m… I digress, my point was Mbappé isn’t joining anyone other than Real and I think it’s daft to not assume a deal between the two parties isn’t already in place and agreed. Its fair to assume the possibility of him not playing for 12 months has also been discussed and accepted to get the move he wants.
Add in his mums comments a few days ago and we can all see how this pans out. I suspect a €60-100m bid by Real on deadline day, if not accepted then I see them trying again in Jan for say €50-80m, again if no joy they get him free a few months later. It’s a win win for him and Real.

I seem to remember reading something about percentage of games and if not met, the player can terminate his contract.

If he terminated his contract though he loses his €150m bonus. I am guessing here but possibly this is PSG’s play, force him to quit and miss that payment.

He wanted to try and win stuff with PSG in fairness, but the subsequent years have shown him that that just isn't going to happen.
The ONLY chance of him signing a new contract would be PSG having an amazing group stage & hammering a big named team stylishly (or even into the knockout rounds, remembering that he doesn't have to sign a pre-contract with Real Madrid once 1st December roles around).
Bizzarely, the only non-seeded team that they could make that impact against is Real Madrid.
