I believe the Saudi's to be more of a threat as they can probably pay to position themselves to be part of UEFA with more justification than say a China with payments to UEFA.

It's not as if its one team (like PSG) they are investing in the Saudi Pro League to be a rival to other leagues in Europe.

Buy all top players make league a show piece then get enacted to UEFA and by-pass FFP. Done. Hopefully not!

Well,,I do not give a hoot what they do..they can buy all the best players in the world but will never watch that shower of shite..Still will support City..whoever plays for us.they can throw as much money as they wish to get players but if they think fans in Europe will suddenly switch allegiance,pay to watch greedy bastards coining it in, nope not going to happen.

PSG wouldn’t have been able to recoup anywhere near their original outlay for Mbappe of circa 180/190M this summer. It’s well known that they were looking for a maximum of 150m euros this summer to save face and stop him leaving for nothing next year.

Al Hilal could have saved themselves at least 100M plus on the fee.

If it is correct (highly skeptical the fee bcan be right given the above) then the PIF/Saudi clubs funded by PIF and whoever is advising them are being made to look like a laughing stock.
 
If alll the best players go to another league the PL will still have a set of next best players fighting to win the League, FA Cup and League Cup. There will still be club qualifying for Europe and competing there.

I'll still follow City when we're shit. And if everyone else is shit it only makes is better. So I honestly don't care who goes to Saudi. More power to them.
 
This is just insane. £259m... I mean, that's ridiculous.

And the Saudi league? No offense, but that's where you go when you have given up on achieving anything further in your career, when you feel you're done. Is that the way thee young lad is feeling?
If not, do the buying club accept that Mbappé will want to leave very very early on in his contract? No one will buy him for anything close to that kind of money, so it will mean a significant loss. For what? Media exposure?
