Kylian Mbappe | Real Madrid Player

He would achieve his full potential at City under Pep, he won't at PSG ..
That's not a slur on PSG it's just how it is, I'd love him at City, brilliant player.....
It is a possibility. But nothing is backing this up as a fact either.

Pure speculation on my part I grant you but I think there is little doubt that Pep would improve him as a player, based on the evidence so far regarding the current City squad, since his arrival .... I doubt he will come but I wish he would, he would light up the PL at City and be an amazing addition to our squad ..

There are so many parameters in football. Maybe the player, after reaching his physical peak (as he is close now with his bulking up), will not get any better. While technically gifted, what really sets him apart from the others is his incredible speed (while keeping his calm, keeping control of the ball). An injury could stop his potential.

I hope he will have a long and great career but nothing is for granted.

He still has some very big weak points for a forward like the headers (he is worse than the worse player you have in mind as heading the ball), defensive contribution (worst in PSG), needs to use chip more often in front of goal, not very good at free kicks and penalty kicks, and not good at playing as a pure 9. Other than that, i'm not sure he has so much room for improvement. He strikes me as "mature" in his game already and he won't grow a technical ability like prime Ronaldo O Fenomeno or Messi. Thus, i don't really see a big margin in what he is doing now and what he will do later. Maybe he can be a bit more consistent.

I'm sure you know far more about him than I ever will, for all the faults you have highlighted, I can't think of a better successor to Sergio, if he has any aspirations to play in the PL, City are the club for him....

I see him more as your typical wide forward like Sterling, Salah, Mané, Cristiano Ronaldo who can score more than their number 9 partner. Or as a second striker. He likes to move, have space, have the balls at his feet. He will still score a lot of goals as a 9 but you lose his link up play and he will have a tendency to leave the zone entirely to be closer to the play.

Im absolutely not dismissing their role in his development, my point is he would have developed to the level he is at now at any top club.

So, what's exactly is your problem of Paris born player playing in his hometown club he is fan from childhood while winning domestic leagues and cups he dreamed to do as a kid and earning many multi million dollars? Bitterness?

Sorry mate, but Mbappe and Sancho are Chelsea bound. You heard it here first :)

Seriously though, it would almost be unfair if Mbappe joined this City team. The rest of us might as well just pack up and compete for 2nd place, especially if Pep stays put for the next 5-7 years.
Correct, but it will never happen. No Mbappe, no Pep for 7 years. Shame, tho'.

Had one of his worst performances yesterday. Whole PSG was shit but he found a way to still shine as one of the worst. He didn't even try, he ran 7 Km.

Ligue 1 is rated as the fifth best in Europe these days. It’s not like it’s the Greek league.

It's now ranked below Scottish Premiership. This is the level he is playing at, if he was winning leagues at Celtic would your arguement be the same???

Lol, by who? You? France is 5th and Scotland 16th/17th. And that's only by teams who play in Europe. Any of the rest of Ligue 1 would batter anyone rest of Old Firm.

Latest European coefficients

That's only for this season because Celtic and Rangers are doing good in Europa League where, strangely, the win is awarded with same number of coefficient points as in Champions League. And in a fluke situation where Ligue 1 is performing at 50% of their usual 5 years results, while Scots are doing about the double of their usual average.

It's silly to compare Ligue 1 and SPL. Behind Celtic and to some degree Rangers recently, SPL is farmer's league. Ligue 1 is a league of World Champions and Euro finalists. It's been raped for talent by more rich leagues, but it's still space shuttle for SPL.

Just a reminder that PSG actually met Celtic not too long ago. Granted it was only two games, you can't really say it paints an accurate picture. However, the aggregate score was still 12-1 in favour of PSG.

This is the updated coefficient : https://www.uefa.com/memberassociations/uefarankings/country/index.html#/yr/2020

Scotland has 25,6k points and France has 53,2k points. Pretty easy to read and understand those figures.
