I'm afraid they'll try to get both Dembele and Mbappe. Madrid can't afford to let Barca spend Neymar cash on Dembele, so maybe they asked Spanish FF to delay Ney's transfer? Madrid's spending was very low for the last few seasons, they surely have money for both French superstars.

Dembele went to BVB for footballing reasons. You think he'll be fine with Bale, Cristina, benzema, Isco, asensio, and Mbappe being there? There's not much room for Mbappe let alone both.

Few weeks back it was "Madrid need to sell bale to fund the Mbappe move" so I doubt they even have the money for Mbappe let alone both him and Dembele. Plus if this 19% tax is to be believed and the 180m they have supposedly bid they'd be spending close to 300m for the both..unless obviously they did sell Bale but I highly doubt that too.

Of the 5 you have listed only Kun and Jesus will play as central strikers but Jesus will occasionally play wide as will Leroy and Sterling. Bernardo has apparently been signed to play in the Silva and KdB role. Anyway last season Navas, Nolito and Iheanacho all played as attacking options and all are leaving does Bernardo replace all 3?

We need a squad to compete for the league and champions league so we need another forward. Say we have a big Champions league match but Kun or Jesus is out so we have a striker starting flanked by Sane and Sterling. Our attacking subs would probably be one of Bernardo/ KdB or Silva. What happens if we need to make a change, we need a goal or our striker gets injured.

In short we need a forward (and a centre back but that's a different story).

I think @pavelsrnicek covered it for me. There's not a chance in hell we sign both (surely?!). I don't think Bernardo will be slotted into a forward attacking role (maybe like 20% wing, 80% midfield type thing). So basically we have 4, (4.5?) forwards for three spots. That's madness?
