Okay... bang to rights. We're over 200 now, i think the wishful part of my brain wanting Sanchez if nothing more than to drive Arse fans spare put my figure toward 270... If not Sanchez i am wrongfully assuming we'd spend 50 to 70 on other pieces. I figure KM would then raise the figure well over 400. I totally get KM would if even possible be instead of Sanchez. Not trying to stir stuff up. My apologies, all the excitement has me losing my shit in a good way. Apologies.
As much as I'd love for us to get him, I still think the most likely scenario is he stays at Monaco one more season and moves to Real next summer. Would love to be proven wrong, mind.
Only way I can't see that happening is if Madrid have a poor season and offload Zidane. Which isn't beyond the realms.
The first decision is Monaco's. For the moment it looks like the Mbappe family aren't playing ball on a new contract. So they must decide, cash in this summer or risk losing half his value over 12 months.
If they decide tomorrow morning to sell him they will want in my estimation around 150 million euros all in. There'll be plenty of add ons but the deal will go that high because City, PSG, and Madrid want him.
As it stands I'd say the order is 1. Madrid 2. City 3. PSG
The big factor in Madrid isn't the club itself, it's Zidane. The guy's a Maradona or Pele for the French. If he puts the hard sell on them I don't think City stand a chance. It's entirely possible though that either him or Perez just don't want him this summer. And if that's the case then I think it's possible if our owners sanction the spend at our end and we act decisively we stand a chance.
Ultimately, he's got two choices there, his boyhood idol or Pep Guardiola. You can understand why they haven't made their minds up or given anyone the nod that they prefer one or the other.
Theres no budget for $150mil transfers. Its a different circumstance when a player like Mbappe is available, you just decide if you want to break the bank.Interesting. Maybe I'm naive but if you're Mbappe why would you go to PSG? For me, it's between us and Real. What works in our favour is Mbappe isn't capable of dislodging that Madrid front three. Bale, Ronaldo and Benzema are shoo ins.
At City he'd be competing against Sterling, Aguero, Sane and Jesus. He stands a better chance of more game time.
The question is do we have the budget? We still need a CB, and I'd really argue we need a top DM, even if it's not seen as a priority.
