This is confusing. Yesterday afternoon French media uploaded reports (13.30) that City were locked in negotiations with Monaco. Have those reports misled the US based reporters, or have they corroborated them with City out in the States?

Be interesting to see what the French press have to say this afternoon. I think they triggered it all off yesterday. Whether there reports were genuine or not we don't know because of conflicting reports. Mirror, Sun, French press, Goal all had us in negotiations with Monaco. Has one of them just made it up and the others copied it. I doubt it. I still think there is something in it.
