Funny thing is all the articles about Mbappe mention Madrid, Barcelona and PSG as potential clubs. I even saw united mentioned in one article on sky, City is never mentioned.
Can't wait to hear what they all have to say if this transfer goes through.

French media still includes us, home media doesn't.

To be fair I expect a lot of that comes from the club adamantly denying any hint of contact, like they did last week when the rumours broke of us making an offer.

The Bale thing is a ready made excuse when he rocks up in blue :) I'm more confident of this than Sanchez to be honest, both are outside shots but we could get this done with Monaco willing to sell and an agreement already in place with the player.

Monaco won't be the problem, it's more about the growing discontent from everyone else. Everyone across Europe seems to be outraged by this Neymar deal, and looking for ways that UEFA could stop it or stop a similar deal in the future. Us dropping £150m on Mbappé 2 weeks later might be the kind of thing that pushes things over the edge because like it or lump it, fair or unfair, we are tied to PSG by virtue of our Arab owners and a lot of people already conflate the two.

So last week we are told that Mbappe has agreed personal terms. Now we are told that it is on. Does this mean City have bid? Does it mean Monaco have agreed a price?
