If I had to make a guess, I would say the following -
1. PSG's bid is enough for Monaco.
2. Mbappe is fine with PSG (and City and Madrid).
3. Monaco are going to hold onto PSG's bid for a while to see if City or Madrid match it or come close to it.
4. If that happens, they'll happily sell Mbappe to City/Madrid.
5. If that doesn't happen, they'll bite the belt and sell him to PSG for what looks like a crazy amount.

Again, all guesswork.

But it makes sense, doesn't it? :D

1. PSG are leaking info all over the place because they're confident nobody will come close to their bid and Monaco will eventually sell.
2. Monaco are leaking info that they won't sell to PSG because they want the race to be open and hope that City/Madrid bid soon enough.
3. City/Madrid have shut up shop and are not leaking anything because PSG's bid is too high and they want Monaco to come back with reasonable terms.

Stalemate. I can see only one winner if it stays this way though.

Don't get PSG at all. They're gonna get chucked out of the CL just for the Neymar deal. Mbappe deal confirms it before UEFA even look at the books. So... are these players gonna be happy with that, and, if they were to win the CL this season, have their CL medal made invalid? Not likely.
