No, don't think we were ever willing/able to go close to the asking price tbh mate. Think we hoped that Real dropping out and PSG signing Neymar would give us a free run at him and drive the price down. Obviously didn't work out like that though!

After missing out on this guy....Lets hope we got a nice 70mil offer on the table for Sanchez!
