Just looked back at last year's it's quiet thread.
Somewhere in the first 40 pages tolmie mentions a British transfer record.
The world transfer fee was mentioned later (i haven't found it) by Ian bishop's haircut as being 'on the table'

So you don't subscribe to the notion that Sergio doesn't create enough for others? You don't mind that he's not fluid in the front three? You also think his pressing is sufficient to PG's standard?

The €110m bid was the rags. He got it wrong, lied instead of admitting the mistake and then went running around desperately linking articles that were contradicting what he was saying or at the very least containing nothing to back it, before falling back on the "I know people and you don't, I'm from Monaco" line. Then it turned out he wasn't posting from Monaco. That's why he got so much stick, nothing like a person in a hole that won't stop digging.

Was pretty funny that about an hour (guessing) later an article finally popped up that fit his narrative.

Yeah I'm guessing he was googling '€110m bid' instead of 'City bid for Mbappe' because I found plenty of them earlier, I just wanted to see if he'd admit he'd made a mistake, would he fuck, even when I posted the express article about the unnamed British club being the scum.
 
I must admit the money being quoted for this kid is alarming to say the least. I mean he's only in his second season of professional football and people are talking about world record bids. He's a cracking goalscorer but seriously £100+ million?!!!

It was me and it was Neymar, we thought we could tempt them but he signed a new contract and the rest is history

He's getting more fluid. And when it comes to fluidity it's not a one way street. Say Aguero has Sanchez on one side and Jesus on the other, both goal oriented players, it could be very easy for Aguero to read their minds as opposed to sterling or Sane because they are different styled players.

Aguero can definitely be fluid given the right teammates aka Silva and Negredo. If Negredo hadn't been injured they're fluidity would have broken goals scoring records.

Yeah. I would have been really surprised if a ban was issued because i knew the mods would be wise enough to refrain from doing that as he was giving us some good entertainment. Like a child punching against a much older fellow at full strenght and the older one playing along and catching some fun in the process
 
Was looking through Mbappe's twitter account. He has liked few tweets linking him to Real Madrid. I think the french guy might be true with some of the things. He might as well be a french Tolmie so you never know.

Why are people growing in confidence on this? I have barely seen even one link from City to him.

This. Most of guys here seem to live in a bubble and seriously think that every player is dreaming of playing for City. It's just not so, the club has a long road to go to raise it's pulling power to Real's, Barca's and even United's level (though right now we're benefitting from United's idiotic management and seem to have overtaken them at this point).
Also, @Afrenchguy has given out the info about B. Silva's supposed transfer to Barca and Lemar's stay which I find the most interesting part of his posts. Think getting right CMs is the most difficult and important task for next transfer window, so I'm less than excited about new forwards, bearing in mind that our transfer budget cannot be unlimited.

I am.

Granted I've only seen six games which M'bappe has started this season, but in those I've found him to be overly panicky, a poor decision-maker and lacking in more complex passing skills. Jesus is a more complete striker on my opinion, and that's based off of me watching the same amount of game time as I have of M'bappe.
 
We can't let United buy M'bappe. Not Mourinho. Not in a team dominated by the most arrogant footballer of modern times. If we do I guarantee he'll be back to Monaco for £27m in eighteen month's time.
