He's also got more goals in the champions league KO stage at 18 than Aguero has at 29.

I appreciate your loyalty to Aguero, but trying to write off Mbappé because you're worried about him replacing Kun is just embarrassing. He hasn't fooled every scout and manager at every massive club in the world who are chasing him. You probably laughed when we bid €40m for him last summer too.

He's not just a player with the potential to be a phenomenon, he's already playing and delivering at a level that makes him one of the best strikers in Europe.

Wanting to keep Aguero, that's fine, I do to.

But pretending the person who might possibly replace him is not worth the hype is ridiculous.

I haven't wrote him off lol...People on here just go on like he is guaranteed to make it to Messi/Ronaldo levels which he is certainly not

Ohhh ffs I didn't even know we bid £40mil for him..Is it a fact? I can only assume you knew everything about him so thought £40mil for player who had played 11 games and scored 1 goal was entirely reasonable? When in probable truth you didn't know he existed until this year

I would but it's not that simple is it. If Aguero was that good now, we'd have a queue of suitors and Guardiola would not have spent a season beomoaning our inefficiency in the penalty area. I'd love nothing more than for Aguero to score 20 league goals plus next season.

Time to build a new team around Jesus, Silva and Sane, and if players like Aguero can help for a season or two then great. Not overly keen on Sanchez either.

My dream for the new season would be for a keeper, two full backs, central defender and a defensive midfielder. I think jesus is going to destroy Premiership defences next season fed by two Silvas. We just need to tighten up at the back.

Yes hands up i am loyal to Aguero he is and has been a great player for us and is a favorite of mine as i am a City fan, i would not write off Mbappe if Pep wants him i would support that also, and lastly i was not aware we bid for him last year, to be honest i dont care how much we pay for players 1 its not my money and 2 the people running our club are good at maths and can balance the books.
I tell you something its good we are having these debates about these type of players, remember when it was mido, samaras bradbury and the likes.

I think if you surveyed most City fans and asked them who were the best players we faced last season, an awful lot would say Mbappe, and Bernado Silva. I think you are right to be a bit cautious. No guarantee he will go from French League to a big club with all the pressure and attention and click. Always a risk with transfers. We only have to look at how difficult Pogba has found it at Utd and he was a much more experienced player.

It is fantastic as a City fan to be able to have these discussions. It's dreamland still five years on from winning the title.

Mbappe looks fantastic - huge pace, deadly in front of goal.

Would love to see him in our squad - crazy not to sign him if we're able.
 
If this deal was dependant on serge leaving, the Khaldoon interview has killed this thread. If however he is too replace Serge in a couple of years, buy him now so there will be a seemless change (If we have the brass). I think he may be alternative to Sanchez when all said and done whats another 30m - 50m :-)
