As a selling club, Monaco would be absolutely insane not to sell the kid for £120m+, whether to us or anybody. He is an extraordinary talent but never before has there been such hype around a kid whose career is not even a full season old.
It’s a massive gamble for them to take. If he underperforms next season, and we all know how long a season is in football, then they’d probably be looking at 60-70m for him next summer. Still a sizeable fee, granted, but the money being talked about here and now is unprecedented. If they flog him off to us or Madrid and he struggles to make an impact, they have their money in the bank….if he struggles on their watch then they take a massive loss. Taking all of this into account, I’m certain they’ll sell this summer.

Monaco proposed him a new contract. If Mbappe wants to stay in France for another year (which would be logical for a young player), he'll sign an extention. If he doesn't, Monaco will sell him right now. Can't see any risks. And if you think he's not in the top 10 (or even top 5) of strikers already, you probably didn't watch him enough.Are Monaco not risking it? I mean if he isn't sold this year with (2yr) left why will a club pay 150m+ with 1yr left when they will have a chance to get him for free in 2019 when he will he be 20 and probably immensely developed into top 10 or even top 5 strikers.

I probably wouldn't sanction it 2 months after he's had his best goalscoring season.At what point would you sanction letting your club legend go, he can't keep going forever.

Harry Kane has hit over 20 league goals in each of his last three seasons.
PEA has hit over 20 league goals in each of his last two seasons - 31 the season just gone.
Higuain has hit over 20 league goals in each of his last two seasons - 36 in the 15/16 season.
The kids undoubtedly talented and has shown great promise but he is not in the top 10 strikers as things stand. My gut is he will certainly make it into that list but he doesn't get into it on the back of one season, otherwise on that basis Jamie Vardy would be in the top 10 after his 24 goal haul in 15/16.

A BMW is better value than a Bugatti in terms of £ for mph. The Bugatti's still faster though, so if you can afford it, why not?
Players last a lot longer these days. Hopefully he'll play right up till his 50s.But we'd get 25 years out of him.
