I wouldn't be so sure that Madrid are out of the game mate.
yeh this stinks of a Madrid kinda transfer. Waiting to strike :D

I don't think there is much room for doubt now. Just keep Barca's noses out.
I'm sure there will be plenty more swings of the pendulum before the month is out.
The counter point is that PSG and City can afford to do whatever their owners want. Being pedantic "affordability" is not the issue for us: as we all recognise, it is the rules of others that can prevent us spending what our owners choose.
Ultimately, I am happy for our owner to spend as much or as little of his own cash to further City's aims: aside from the fact, he is the majority shareholder, he's earned the right by investing so much already. If he wants VFM - fine; if he wants to splash his cash - fine.
yes. Looking at Barca at the moment. Whose door are they going to knock on next?
To me this feels like PSG is definitely not in for Mbappe but Monaco is using the press to take advantage of PSG's name to drive up the price and instill a bidding war between us and Madrid. So PSG through beIN just stated emphatically that they're not in for him.yep, could also be a ploy to try keep it quiet :D
Think he goes Madrid next year, we will find out soon enough.
I agree. Can't see him being in too much of a rush to leave Monaco despite media reports, especially if he's happy to wait for Madrid.

I can imagine Madrid whispering stick it out and we will nab you next season.
Contract expires in 2019, it will drop, they can't afford to wait.Might not look the same player with the way Monaco are selling the top players off.
Value may drop if he stays another season?
Maybe they want shut now?
He probably wanted to stay, but Monaco have reportedly refused to meet his wage demands. And they can't hold on to him without a new contract as his price will drop next summer.Until someone else has a good world cup and becomes the next must have for Madrid.
If I was advising him, it wouldn't be to go to Madrid this soon. If he becomes as good as everyone expects, that opportunity will still be there. He can move elsewhere on a 5 year deal and if he saw it out and walked, he'd only be 23. But there's a chance that he won't immediately settle in Madrid with the pressure, at which point they drop him and he'd need to take the next chance he gets or he's out and down a level. Personally think the best for his development would be to stay another year at Monaco, enjoy the World Cup and then move, probably to a stepping stone like City or Chelsea, before the move to Madrid - Barca and Madrid still have that special pull that other teams don't, whether we like it or not.
Plus, if I was his agent, I'd want two big money deals to make sure I was getting a nice pension.
They can afford to have Mbappe and Bale at the same time, they have 2 worldclass teams atm and just got rid of Morata and James. As I see it unless Monaco tie him down with a new contract they will push to sell him this season. I'm not sure if Madrid wwantto buy this season, if he is €150m or so they have to pay tax on top of that plus they keep saying they have to sell one of their big 3 but don't want to.
