Anybody think this madrid game has got the feel of our Qpr game?
Great goal from Ronaldo, because a loss would effectively ended their title challenge. Even now things look grim. They need Atletico and Barca to not win their next game or the title is over for them.
?

All they need to do is win their 3 games, then if Barca beat Atletico the title is theirs.

They nearly did it there....
For all the nice football they play at real, you can't beat the long punt into the box when you're shitting your pants. ...
That match has only planted a seed and made me think what if villa and west ham come with 10 buses....
Ah fuck it....
Don't worry
About a thing
Coz every little thing. ..
Is gonna be alright. ...

Real getting a point is probably a good result for Atletico. Assuming Real win all their games Barca can't win the tittle but would give it to Real by beating Atletico on the final day

That was important goal for Madrid. They can still win title now if they win all remaining matches and if barca beat atletico. Without it, it would be over if atletico would beat malaga next week.

Yeh you are right. I thought Barca had an extra point so all Real could do was tie with them and lose out on head to head. I don't see Barca putting much effort in though if a win gives Madrid the title.

It goes to show just how much the CL takes out of you. I know Valencia had a Europa game, but when you play an emotionally draining game midweek anything can happen. That's why I don't see Liverpool making top 4 without a lot of investment next season.

Valencia had hard game too but at least they were not drained in this one, Madrid had to repeat it all again. They missed Modric heavily.

But this really opens door for Barcelona now. Madrid has some tricky games to play vs Valladolid and Celta Vigo. One slip there and they could win it if they collect 6 points in last 2 games.

Brilliant goal by Ronaldo there. I think he should have let Bale take the freekick ten minutes before that. Di Maria I just can't work out, sometimes I think he's excellent sometimes he frustrates the hell out of me, I hate them type of wingers

Barca could be left with the dilemna of going for the win in case Madrid drop points at home to Español (unlikely) or throwing the game to Atleti to stop Madrid - it´s just gone crazy today and as it stands it hurts Atleticos prospects - paradoxically had Madrid won it would have made Barca´s decision pretty easy in the final game against Atleti

Let´s see after next weeks games

This weekends results creates a potntial very, very intereting scenario for the final game(s) of the season.

If Real , Barca & Athleti all win their games prior to the final game of the season, the table will stand like this:

Atheltico Madrid 37 91
Real Madrid 37 89
Barcelona 37 88

Goal difference wont really come into equation becuase of the 'head to head' rule in La Liga.

I think this leaves Barcelona in an awkard position. A win for the Catalans will almost surely hand the title to Real Madrid with Madrid at home to Espanyol. However Barcelona surely cant risk putting in a lacklustre performance aginst A.Madrid and droppoing points, imagine they were to do this & find out Madrid had lost or more realistacially drawn the game against Espanyol - stranger results have happened in La Liga this year,

A very interesting conclusion to the best La Liga title race in years. Too close to call, literally any of the current top 3 have a decent chance to win the league.

A very good read for anyone looking for clarification on the current situation
