The Supercopa is a bigger deal in Spain than the Community Shield is here, that's part of the reason why Pep's insistent on considering the Community Shield as a trophy. Nonetheless, the fact they've been so limp in so many games and would have done far worse if not for Messi won't make anyone happy.

I'm in Valencia and watched the match on the giant screen in the fanzone at the Town Hall. Their idea of football compared to ours don't compare. For a start, they were all sat down with ten minutes until ko. Nobody was on the beer. There was one, only one, plastic toilet for the whole crowd. I used it twice and had a bag full of cans. They all thought I was a paraffin. As for the match, the first ten minutes was embarrassing as nobody ran or put in a tackle. Wanted Barca to win as I support Levante (the other team in Valencia) so I sacked it off when Valencia went 2-0 up and went to the pub. Then had to endure plastic big fans driving about sober honking their horns. It's a totally different culture over here.
