One of the players in the team I played for turned round one day and said 'I'm black.' As he was light skinned, fair haired and from a long line of blond haired blue eyed English people we found this rather hard to believe.

Then we realised he said was saying Ian Black, which was his name, to the ref and we'd misheared the first bit.

How we laughed and laughed.
