What I have seen with charities over the years is that any monies raised go to pay salaries, expenses & overheads first and foremost and if there is a bit left over after that then it might go to a grateful beneficiary.
I particularly hates cunts who fund raise for an adventure holiday under the pretext of charity. For instance, I am going to hike around the Andes for charity so any money left over after paying for my travel, food, accommodation plus support team will go to {insert chartity name}.
