Lads on ebikes/motorbikes/scooters.

We went to a matinee show in Poole last week, walking through an underpass an e-bike shot silently past from behind going well over the legal limit, probably 30mph or more. If my wife had stepped six inches to her right, I would be visiting in the ICU ever since, or worse.
 
Was working in Pendleton earlier and around 30 of them flew past riding up pavements all faces covered up. Glad I left not long after!

15yr old killed on e-bike
15yr old arrested for theft
59yr old arrested for murder

I’ll go first.
2 lads on e-bike have nicked something from the 59yr old, the pissed off 59yr old has took matters into his own hands knowing the police will do fuck all and it’s ended in an accident/collision

Think there was another incident like this not long ago where thieves were chased down by a victim in his car

But their wheelies lack of concern for other road users / pedestrians is the problem particularly if you were to wing one of the little darlings and all of a sudden you become the wrongdoer in the eyes of the police or their suddenly interested family £££

That being the life of the person in custody.
 
Ebikes which have been chipped to go faster than their manufactured speed should be illegal to ride EXCEPT by police riders. Police need to be mandated to seize such bikes and destroy them.

In a roadway "accident" someone is at fault whether it be driving recklessly, not paying full time and attention, and etc. "Accident" is really a misnomer. The proper term should be collision. That the young woman was not charged and likely not cited for anything by police, or it would have mentioned it in the news story, should tell everyone all they need to know re: fault.

15.5mph is the legal limit in the UK for e-bikes. That's pedal assist, not pure motor power. That means the motor assist peddling up to that speed but won't propel you any faster than that. However, speeds above that can be achieved with additional pedal power. A legal e-bike is capable of speed way in excess of that. Some of the high-end road e-bikes can easily reach upwards of 40mph on a downhill section.
 
The footage that's doing the rounds... *All allegedly of course*....

- two lads on an ebike in balaclavas (one is the lad who's died)...

- Another ebike goes past with one lad on it ....

- One of the two lads jumps off ebike and attacks the other ebike lad with a machete, stealing the ebike...

- stolen ebike is picked up on CCTV footage riding down the road, slows down and mounts the pavement

- car being driven by 59 year old (apparently robbery victims dad) ploughs into the 15 year old at some speed crashing into garden wall. Kid had no chance.

If someone had attacked one of my daughters with a machete and then stolen her bike then I’d probably feel exactly the same as that dad undoubtedly did.

Robbery, Balaclava’s, blades!!!!!

The police need to get back on the Crossers with a no nonsense attitude and start knocking the little fuckers off like they used to.
Bollocks to being sued for injuries.
