I've had a quick glance through this thread and no-one's mentioned Lakey 'leaving/retiring' have they?!!

THAT was a sad day for not only the fans but no doubt everyone at the club.

Do I get extra kissing ass credit for that comment?! :o)

Its always a pity to see home grown players transferred, sometimes, bringing in inferier players, as an old timer, was not happy when players like tony towers,derek jefrries, peter barnes, gary owen were transferred

I was gutted when we sold Tony Coton to the rags. He'd been my idol,easily the best keeper i'd ever seen at City. He'd suffered a couple of injuries and i was praying for him to come back better than ever but when i heard the news i was so angry. Not only was he leaving but to THEM??? To add rub salt in the wounds it was a ridiculously low fee of 500k i think,which made it even worse.
