Lap Top / PC help required

I have noticed recently lots of adverts appeariing on my lap top for lots of different things. I was locked out of my E-Bay account last week by E-Bay saying that was strange activity taking place so I had to reset my password etc. But now I seem to be getting adverts in regards to 'PC Running poor Fix now' any ideas why this is happening, it never seem to be before.

Cheers for any advice what to do.

By the way I don't get them on here or other sites like banking, sky news etc it just seems to be on e-bay???

That'll only speed up his own PC. The adverts he is talking about are cookie generated surely?

If he's not being misdirected I would think his problem is cookie based.

If you've not got malwarebytes it's a very good addition to have as Prideinbattle suggests.

Scan with the mentioned above and combofix and maybe adaware and spybot as they may each pick up something the other misses.

I would probably get a better antivirus also like NOD32 as it will stop most of these annoyances before they get you.

If you use firefox i suggest installing noscript and adblock+.
These will stop almost anything ad/annoyware related and more.
