Laptop

Just wondered if anyone who knew about computers could help please!?

My laptop is about 2 years old now and is starting to run really slow!

Anyone have any tips to speed it up, I've defragged it and deleted a lot of programmes I dont use but its not really helped!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You seem to have done the basics in terms of Disk Defragments etc. I would try and download a program Called CC Cleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/ this is quite a good program for removing temporary windows files etc. If this still doesnt work and you have uninstalled loatfs of software etc it may be worth trying to get some more RAM installed on your machine.

That CC Cleaner helps remove that too haha!

i did this and it certainly did the trick for my pc, good advice.
While ime on the subject, what are temporary windows files???
As you can tell, i am not well up on computers!!!

Overkill!!! And very risky if you are not computer savvy.

theyre the windows equivalent to the crap we humans keep on top of the fridge.....takeaway menus for places that shut down years ago, instruction manuals for cars owned by the previous resident, etc. delete at will.
