Watched ‘One Life’ last night. It’s about Nicolas Winton, the man who was involved in getting hundreds of Jewish children out of Prague before the Nazis stopped it.

What a man. They included in the film the scene in That’s Life (I remember watching it live) where everyone stood up who had been saved by him and other British heroes.

He lived to 106!

Antony Hopkins, Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Flynn. Great stuff.

Thanks for the heads up. Just my cup of tea will give it a whirl.

I'm not sure I could watch anything related to the Nazi genocide these days. It just feels hypocritical.

I wonder if others feel the same... as in is that normal or awful. I used to feel these movies were important to see so that they could never happen again.

I know what you mean. I think it’s still worth telling the story of good people when evil is all around. Like it still is today.

Nicolas Winton was a proper British hero and because of the hundreds of children he helped, resulted in thousands of lives.

Wicked.

Don’t get the love for this. Songs were shite, it’s was nearly three hours long which 90mins too long for a film of this kind and above it was just boring.

Oh yeah - and clapped at the end. Was all I could do not to turn round and check I wasn’t in a hidden camera show!

Guess I’m not the target audience though.
