Balloon - Based on the true story of two families trying to escape from The GDR to the west in the 70's. Absolutely insane bravery, based on desperation of course. 8/10

I remember seeing the original version of this film as a child back in the 80s and it's stuck with me all this time. Will definitely be watching this new one as it's an incredible story.

1917 yesterday. Was mint.

I've seen it three times in IMAX, It's phenomenal, the whole movie, but the first 25 minutes, with the walk through the trenches and then across no man's land is a cinematic masterpiece.
