Last Film You Saw

Halloween

going through the Bluemoon Top 100

really good suspense and camera work, the last 10 minutes was really gripping.

I found the storyline a bit weak though.

can imagine for it’s day, especially in the Cinema it was scary as hell.

7/10

I watched it when I was about 12. It was scary as hell then even on Betamax!

Paths of glory. 8/10. Enjoying watching older films at the moment that ive never seen.

I gave it a 9 from 10, bloody brilliant film.
One of the most powerful anti-war films made.

Hereditary

A very good horror film.

8.5/10
I always said you could take all the supernatural bits out of it and it would still be a: a Horrific film, b: a very good film. Tony Collette wailing after she loses her child is the most awful thing but it sounds so real and human. The director's follow up Midsommar is pretty much the same, the first half an hour was totally just a regular drama, and despite a shockingly horrific opening, what really got under my skin was the sketchy relationship between the boy and girl.

Blue Ruin

7/10

An unconventional off-beat revenge thriller. I can also recommend director Jeremy Saulnier's "Hold the Dark", another strange but compelling film, this one set in Alaska. Both are available on Netflix.
