Journey's End
A 2017 British film made entirely in the wretched conditions of World War 1 trenches.
It's basically about relationships and tribulations between a group of young officers thrust into this surreal world.
The German trench was the width of a rugby pitch away and both sides we're experiencing stalemate.
Id only recommend it if you like films like this, devoid of much action but more an examination of the human psyche under extreme conditions.

Watched it myself a while back,i thought it deserved an 8/10 - very good and very well acted.
 
The Salesman

Iranian film 2016.

Another excellent film from Asgar Farhadi exploring the intimacies and frailties of human relationships and the results that ensue.
Farhadi once again leaves you sympathizing with the antagonist and the victim.
