Last Film You Saw

Black Christmas (1974)

It’s funnier than I remembered and much creepier than the vast majority of slashers that followed in the years to come.

If you’re a fan of horror, this is undoubtedly a film to watch.

9/10

The Mountain Between Us, from Film on 4 last night.

Idris Elba and Kate Winslet, stranded after a light plane crash in the Colorado mountains. Survival film. Beautifully shot. I was glad I persevered, though I was close to giving up due to Winslet's American accent.

I'll say nowt else, in case of spoiling, but, Mrs Panther scored it 8 out of 10. I was tempted to say 7, but, I'm prepared to go with the 8.

2 hours not wasted.

Forgot - I also had the supreme joy of watching Some Like It Hot yesterday (again!). If any of you haven't seen it, please enrich your life with it. Not just the sight of Marilyn Monroe, but an all round fantastically funny film, with a lovely ending.

Jack Lemmon - what an actor! Even his movement when he pretends to dance - I could watch him forever.

10/10.

You know to mark a film out of 10 you have to put yourself through the full film. How do you know how the next hour pans out? There might be a twist at the end that gives the film an extract couple of points out of ten.
You are, of course, correct but it would appear that my mark is not far off that of those who stuck with it

"The Call" on Netflix.

It's a Korean Sci-Fi (with an element of horror) film with American voice-overs dubbed in.

7/10 for me - pretty good but not amazing.

Was really looking forward to midnight sky the pace of it was to slow thought it was predictable some good moments so it’s a 5:8/10.
