Another Round - great Danish film about 4 teachers who test a hypothesis that people perform better in work and life generally if they have a constant 0.5% alcohol level in their bloodstream. With that premise you'd expect a lot of laughs but it's more drama-based, an indictment of the binge-drinking culture in denmark, but also showing how alcohol provides a clarity of thought and stifles reasoning skills, revealing the cracks in people's relationships, both personal and professional.

The Guilty - another Danish film, whole film is set in just the one location a police call-centre. But don't let that put you off - it's a gripping edge of your seat thriller, albeit a bit predictable.
7/10
The Lodge - a horror from the directors of the (superior) Goodnight Mommy. First half sets the scene effectively and you think you're in for a really intense ride but the film loses its way in the second half, pre-occupied with close-ups of the characters in various states of emotional turmoil and lingering static shots of the lodge - helps build atmosphere but I felt the directors were trying too hard to give it some art-house gravitas for which the flimsy plot and mediocre acting were inadequate to deliver.
