Last Film You Saw

Anyone seen Mother! ? 2017 Darren aronofsky film. Javier Bardem, Jennifer Lawrence, Ed Harris and Michelle Pfeiffer.

One of the most insane movies I've ever seen and I wasnt sure i liked it because I didnt understand it. So I googled it and now I know what it was going for I absolutely love it.

If you are to watch it, go into it blind, you'll have a much better experience.

9/10
I thought it was brilliant and the wife thought it was crap. I understood what it was about and she didn't.

Jojo Rabbit - lots of people with Australian and American and New Zealand accents putting on German accents - watched it for an hour, thought it was pretty dross and turned it off. Read reviews on IMDB where everyone seemed to think it was hilarious, watched the rest, still thought it was dross.

I watched it with no pre knowledge whatsoever and it was a massive wtf kind of thing. This was about 2 years ago and I still can't decide if i rate it highly or not.

Any opinions on "Greenland"? Seen mixed reviews on it, but the trailers on YT look okay (shock, horror). Looks like a "Deep Impact 2" deal. I find Gérard Butler a bit "meh", to be honest. Morena Baccarin isn't too bad, mind!

Death to 2020 : 6/10 Satire on the great year, perfectly type-cast with some mad characters. Hugh Grant and Samuel Jackson shone like all the cast. few giggles.

Fury: 6/10 Action packed story, I seem to find flaws in stories. Pitt was good.

Greyhound 5/10. Tom Hanks boat movie about WW2 supplies from USA and Allies being attacked by German U boats. Seems like it would be great on the big screen as some shots are well done when boats are on top of each other and nearly clashing in the open seas. It s a good movie, high tension stuff you can only get with a Submarine/Warship movie. (Edit: An odd choice, the hero of the ship is named as an Epstein ??)

Even from plank Butler?
Yeah its OK, a pretty good story and some tense moments, I know what you mean about Butler movies but he was pretty good in this one, I enjoyed it 6-7 out of 10, the end is a bit naf but worth watching
