Last Film You Saw

Anomalisa

I've never really watched an animated film before but this one grabbed me, the people in it look quite real and the main character has a lovely accent from the actor I know from Fargo season 3.
Anyway it's about a guy who is fed up with life and ends up having a great experience.
Try it, it's very engaging.

7.5/10

Nomadland on Amazon Prime. This is a Marmite movie that some will love and some will hate. I thought it was magnificent. It is based on the Nomad community who move round the USA in their RVs and most of the people in it are not actors but real life Nomads. I just allowed myself to become submerged in this film.
An epic performance from Frances McDormand, even better than Three Billboards to Ebbing. It is a study in personal grief and the death of the American dream, with a lot of lessons for this country in it. Very thought provoking and moving. It's a 9/10 for me.

Hi mate I watched this movie and really enjoyed it also, although I personally wouldn't give it a 9 mainly because it doesn't have mass appeal, in large chunks it's pretty grim, but I agree it's very well made.
Also, like here in Australia many people choose this life, they sell their houses and buy an RV to enjoy their retirement. So for many it's the start of 'living the dream' not the death of it, for many it represents freedom after 50 years of work.

I believe ATM all the Australian camping sites are pretty full, mainly due to covid and no overseas travel. Sales of caravans and RVs is booming.
