Last Film You Saw

Thanks.

It's funny, but I saw all the pieces (not the slow revenge) and it all seems so at odds, so it's no wonder it was confusing as there was no clear cut reasons to kill someone.

In fact, the way the film sets its stall out, it makes the victim more of a psychopath than the bully, so all sympathy is lost.

Very odd and wholly understand why it missed the mark for quite a few, obviously, me included!! Also, it doesn't help that you'd have to know how anthrax works in that environment.

Thanks, again, for that.
I got the ending first watch but still thought it was a poor, film. The searchers is a great western. This is not. The characters are so bloody one dimensional.

over the top repressed bully
silent type (was he hiding hidden depths? who knows)
hysterical woman who drinks (albeit that was a personality change from the first thirty minutes)
fey son (I will say no more)

mix them together and what have you got?
in Jane Campions hands an arty farty pot of tedium that considers lots of long shots of mountain ranges and vast prairies as atmosphere. And some of the worst carpet chewing OTT acting particularly from Cumberbatch. IMO of course, each to their own.

and I wanted to like it as I love westerns.

Calibre. A Indy Scottish production from around three years ago. Two Edinburgh yuppies (is that still a term) go deer stalking in the Highlands. What could possibly go wrong?
Well quite a bit in fact. An excellent piece of evidence that highlanders hate lowlanders even more than they dislike English (joke, I’m joking ok, we love you like brothers).
A far better film than you would expect from the budget, good pace with a taut story that says hi to cliche but never shakes hands. You could spend worse 90 minutes. On Netflix.
Sounds like a Scottish Deliverance or Southern Comfort ?

I Believe In Miracles on Netflix

Story of Nottingham Forest and how they won the league and European Cups in the late 70's

Film??
Documentary??

Great watch regardless

Enjoyable, even if some of the acting was a bit crappy.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)- Netflix

6/10. It has a guy with a mask made of skin who butchers people. The plot's awful and makes no sense but the killings are decent.
