Last Film You Saw

Rocket Man, 4OD

Egerton did a good job as Elton John. The film blurs fact, fiction and the timeline of John's life to such an extent that I began to lose belief in the story but overall the songs are done well and there are probably lots of nuggets of truth knocking about .Wasn't bad. 6.5/10

Cool Hand Luke

Not watched this for a few years, I forgot just how good a film it is, the car wash sequence and the egg eating stand out "nobody can eat 50 eggs!!"
Some of the dialogue, especially at the end was repeated in the Shawshank Redemption

8.8/10

Top film, it's funny when in the egg bit, Luke's mate says why'd you have to say fifty? Why not 35 or 39?

Can't imagine Luke saying "I can eat 39 eggs"

Girl With A Pearl Earing
2006

Scarlett Johansson stars as Griet, a young 17th-century servant in the household of the Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer (played by Colin Firth) at the time he painted Girl with a Pearl Earring (1665)
Very well acted and excellent direction.
Enjoyable film and quite educational.
