Last Film You Saw

Just watched Maleficent. For a film that, I presume, was aimed squarely at the family/younger market, it wasn't too bad actually. Stunning to look at, and Jolie was surprisingly good as the evil Queen. The film did seem to drag a bit through the middle section, but hey ho. And a cracking closing song;

Hope M*******y watches the film. THAT is how you sing; in tune!

Is it just me that's gone off films ?

I'm a big fan of Boxsets as you can really warm and relate to the characters - with films it just seems so rushed to the point I don't give a crap - not saying there hasn't been any great films in last few years just personally find it a struggle to get enthusiastic about it.

In the last couple of days I've watched The Maze Runner - a sort of two bob Hunger Games. Not bad though, I might give the books a go. Fury - unrealistic bollocks but not a bad film. Lucy - I know it's been slated, but I enjoyed it. Even though they remained disappointingly covered, Scarlet Johannson's tits wobbled up and down in a very seductive manner on quite a few occasions. It was worth watching just for that.

Watched WILD CARD a good 6.5/10

"Top Five", written, directed and starring Chris Rock.

Black actors have the main roles and Black issues are visited, but it quickly moves beyond that and explores other subjects. There are some very funny scenes, one of which is early on in the film, and the storyline is interesting enough not to be stale, for me.

Genuinely surprised how much I liked this film, cos apart from one or two stand ups, I've not really got on with Chris Rock's stuff. This may be the first film he's directed, I don't know, but if it is, he's actually done a good job.
