Last Film You Saw

I enjoyed the film and couldn't argue with any of this review.

I've just watched Banshees of Inisherin. Thought it was an excellent black comedy, in beautiful surroundings with fine acting all round.
I watched and enjoyed it too for all of the above. Read a review by some cranial type who reckoned the the whole story of life on the island was a parallel metaphor for the Irish Civil War taking place on the mainland. Certainly left with something to think about.

The Whale, what an incredible film. This is what films are about, a great script and redemption for not only the character but the actor as well. Just him in an apartment, shouldn't be brilliant but it really is.
I'm sorry I don't agree with keeping large creatures in such cramped living conditions.

I won't be watching.

The problem I had with both the Sixth Sense & Fight Club is you could see the twist way before the end. My Mrs and I went to see the Sixth Sense at our local cinema. After 25 minutes I said to her "I know what's happening". She insisted on me telling her & then complained at the end that I had spoilt it for her. The same with Fight Club, only it took about an hour on that one.

I also told a friend the end to Lost after about 4 episodes.
I did the same when I took my Mrs to watch Titanic. I could just tell what was going to happen. Mrs wasn’t happy I ruined it for her.

Fall - nice boobs, 7/10

Awakenings - true story about Robin Williams playing a doctor trying to awaken catatonic patients (including Robert de niro), very good film 8/10

Ugh. It was well acted, in a beautiful location, but what a ridiculous, incredulous story!

Honestly can’t believe it’s getting the plaudits it’s getting.

Tár, on the other hand, was a tour de force and Cate Blanchette was brilliant (again)!

Watched a Japanese movie last night called “Call me Chihiro.” Sex worker gives it up to work at a Bento takeaway counter. Relationship stories are quiet, but real. Great little movie.
