Ferrari. Enjoyed this, set in 1957 with Enzo Ferrari facing the real prospect of bankruptcy, his family life in tatters and the imminent Mille Miglia road race after his star driver has been killed in a test accident.

Michael Mann returning to direct, it has a slow pace which has probably thrown many racing fans and the general public with a film titled ‘Ferrari’. However it builds to a very dramatic climax for the final 45 minutes around the Mille Miglia and the racing scenes are probably some of the best (and harrowing) ever put to film.

8/10.
