Last Film You Saw

Dazed and Confused.

Along with American Grafitti and Fast Times at Ridgemont High, it gives me nostalgia for a time I never lived in but so wished I could have done, and this is my favourite of those three.

Absolutely amazing soundtrack.

9/10

A Ghost Story (2017)

An extreme slow burn, I almost gave up after a 7 minute scene of Rooney Mara eating a pie, bit I'm glad I didn't.

An incredibly sad film, a very quiet film, hardly any dialogue. This definitely won't be for everyone, but if you appreciate it you'll love it.

A film exploring themes of existential despair and the loneliness experienced at an end of a relationship with a ghost stuck in a time loop trying to break free, an emotional masterpiece which I adored.

I felt a similar vibe with Aronofsky's The Fountain (2006) also about lost love, death and the search for immortality.
