Long long film...really the film is about Strauss getting one over Oppenheimer because he belittled him rather than the nuclear bomb...very disappointing

Any mention of the British groundwork and basis for the bomb being given to his team?

Yeah I do believe there's a lot of that in the film.

What a classic, and a great time capsule of London in 1979.

Best thing for me about Tarantino films is the dialogue heavy scenes. Those scenes where there is comedy, danger, an edge of fear and the viewer wondering how this will turn out.
This scene from Death Proof (one of his least well liked films) is a case in point. The girl is tempted by Stuntman Mike's flattery but he's like a female spider tempting the male into her domain where his life will eventually end, but he has to go there.
Brilliant, all his films have these amazingly deep scenes.

Yeah I do believe there's a lot of that in the film.

I am always dubious about Holywood rewrites as they tend to "forget" many important parts. U571 being the typical type that pisses me off!!

Watched the Abyss that was released in 4K remember watching this when it came out in 1989 and thought it was a basic story line and was surprised at the twist at the time..
