The final performance of ‘Unchained Melody’ always gets me.

Doubled up here. But just watched ‘Challengers’. Latest film from Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name, Bones and All), and continues his trajectory as an extremely innovative director. 8/10.

Lifted to greater heights by the brilliant soundtrack from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

Harry Potter and Half Blood Prince, the change in tone of the series is now there with them turning more adult, 7.5/10
Fall Guy a weird film I don’t think it knew what to be, comedy, action, love story but seemed edited all wrong 5/10 watch until the end of the credits ;)

Nice to see a war film with the Germans being slaughtered by the British and not the Yanks for a change. Give the book a read, fascinating to see the SOE formed by people who were either mildly eccentric, amusingly bonkers or totally psychotic.........

Really noticeable in this film they were almost always referred to as”Nazis” and very rarely called “Germans”. Most films careful to use that language these days.

I know all the godzilla/kong films aren't going to win any Oscars anytime soon but I absolutely love them, ridiculously entertaining and some real fuck yeah moments

Gladiator.

I watched the extended version just to get as much Gladiator as possible. Ridley Scott did say in the intro that the theatrical release is the directors cut, the perfect version if you will.

You can definitely see why a lot of it was cut, but the directors cut is a 10/10 film if ever there was one. One of the best soundtracks of all time too.

I found Gladiator insanely stupid in the end. It has a good start and middle and then goes loopdeloop.

The Ghost Writer 2010 - good cast this - Ewan Mcgregor, Pierce Brosnan, Kim Catterall and Tom Wilkinson. Political thriller, but not too heavy about an ex Prime Minister with possible hidden secrets - Brosnan does a good sleazy politician.......
