watch the original with peck and mitchum, a classic it isSaw Cape Fear and with DeNiro in it I had high expectations..... wasn't one of his best is about as kind as I can get TBH 3.5/10

Watched Maestro last night.
Brilliant acting from Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan, beautifully shot and Cooper captured Bernstein perfectly - uncanny likeness no doubt with a few prosthetics.
But what a disappointing film !
Rambling, disorganised, confused - no real narrative beyond his bisexuality and his wife turning a blind eye at least at first. Made a fascinating character into quite a boring spectacle.
3/10 - an opportunity missed.
