Superb performance from Anthony Hopkins.
Clever story.

Just watched this, and I agree. What a great performance from Hopkins, he's so good at the quiet menacing type.
Gosling decent too.
Great story, and the score which added nicely to the drama.
A proper film that.

Eddington. Pretty fucking dull. Looks like Ari Asters first two films were a bit of a fluke. Hereditary was beyond amazing, Midsommar was brilliant, Beau is Afraid was watchable but a massive drop off in quality, and Eddington is by far his worst film.

Thought it was really good. The woke stuff was stuff was irritating but necessary. Pretty sure that MAGA stuff is giving people the necessary umph to get the people going. A sherrif from a small town, why not.
Thought it was a an entertaining zeitgeist. 7.3

It's underrated for sure and I think it's one of his better works, myself.

I didn't realise people were slating it, i'm surprised too.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Believable plot, great acting, decent score.
Maybe there wasn't enough action in it for some folks, but for its genre it's a great film.
Hopkins elevates most films though, granted. But I'd be interested to know why some didn't enjoy it.

Yeah, absolutely.
As soon as Hopkins swears, for the first time in the film I believe? (apart from the laymans term in court lol) , he knows the game is up.
Twist aside, it took me a few minutes of head scratching to work out how he actually pulled it all off.
Like I said, very good film, I wish they would make more films like this instead of the shite they churn out these days.
Less is definitely more in this case.

I reckon its right up your street.
It's a simple, but pretty unique premise.
It's forward and backwards, story wise, but it all comes together brilliantly.

Warfare is brilliant. A very different take on the brutality of war.

Watched it tonight.
Fucking hell the detail is superb. A really uncomfortable watch. Which is exactly how it should be when portraying war if its to be done properly.
Not seen cinematography like this since saving private Ryan.
Very good.

Felt like a starbucks commercial, weird camera angles. Gunn infused too much of himself in this. Every scene had too much colours popping out like a mash up between Guardian of the Galaxy and a Wes Anderson movie. Not for me
