Gripping.
Tasteless ;-)House of dynamite
Mrs not impressed ..
Seems to be very similar to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_War:_A_ScenarioHouse of Dynamite - absolutely loved it from the way its split into 3 interlocking stories to the writing and acting.
Gave me nightmares though - been a long time since a film did that.
I have just finished watching it, the part one was particularly gripping, and then that scene with Secretary of Defence (Jared Harris) made it a very grim watch, I didn't need another one after this afternoon.House of Dynamite 8/10.
Gripping.
But you didn’t see an ending that’s the point, it’s upto you to think of the consequences of all this. The Long Walk, based off the Stephen King novel. Phenomonal film and brutal in places. Mark Hamill is a right based in it.
House of Dynamite. Started off well but I disagree with others, the same film from three different perspectives I didn't like, and the ending was one of the worst I've ever seen.

After our pedestrian performance at Villa Park, I decided to watch the Long Walk. Interesting film, but found my attention wandering, watching some pretty old “teenagers” drudging through a deserted landscape. A good but predictable ending and strong performance from the guy playing “Pete”.
I just found large sections of it to be tedious - once the storyline had been framed. 6/10 and worth a watch though.
I agree with you. Not sure what other posters are watching in order to think it's a 'great film'.
It's badly limited in what it can do and where it can go. A really limited 'character study' is all it can offer and there's not enough fully written characters to examine, motive-wise. Clearly, the book is bettered served in the mind than on screen based on this work.
Your score is a bit more generous than mine would be if I were to give scores.
I got a book by richard bachman(sp) 4 short stories, road block, the long walk, running man and i think get it on. All 4 great. Running man book is nothing like the film, it's brilliant. The long walk was my pick of them tho. I'm sure having read it, I will enjoy the film more than someone who hasn't read it.It's going to have to be some film to measure up to the short story which IMHO is Kings best short story.
Am watching it tomorrow night but will keep an open mind, if it entertains me in the slightest it'll be no worse than most of the drivel dressed as shite they pump out now.
New Running man film follows the book in a way.I got a book by richard bachman(sp) 4 short stories, road block, the long walk, running man and i think get it on. All 4 great. It has a footnote at the start of the book as to why King used a pseudonym and why he had to come clean. Bachman pretty quickly became too popular for the secret to kept.
Didn't even know they'd made a new one.New Running man film follows the book in a way.
